New offshore wind project expected in north-east07.07.2008

The UK may be assisted in meeting its renewable energy targets through the development of an offshore wind project in the north-east of England, it has emerged.

The New and Renewable Energy Centre (NaREC) is considering the north-east for a wind development project, which would increase the region's wind capacity.
